How To Make Sushi Roll: Butterfly Breaded Shrimp Roll: Cooked Ingredients
Ingredients for the butterfly breaded shrimp roll are: cucumber, breaded shrimp. The topping is avocado with some teriyaki sauce.
This roll is made with the rice on the outside - uramaki roll.
Prepare Your Ingredients - Shrimp, Cucumber
For your shrimp; you need to bake or make some butterfly breaded shrimp for the roll. If your using the frozen shrimp you can buy at grocery stores, then simply put it in the oven and
bake as per baking instructions - usually 15 mins at 450.
If you want to make your own you will need medium size frozen - pre cooked shrimp with tail on and some Japanese style bread crumbs and water, salt, pepper.

Breading The Shrimp
Next, add some
water to a bowl, mix the Japanese crumbs with salt, pepper on a plate or bowl. For a few shrimp, 3-5, usually 1/2 cup bread crumbs is good, with 1/4 tsp pepper,
and 1/2 tsp salt.
Just dip the
shrimp in the water dish, then cover with the breaded Japanese bread crumbs and fry(medium heat) in fry pan(1-2 tablespoons canola oil) just till crumbs start to brown somewhat.
Once cooked cut the shrimp in small pieces as shown Cut two end tails for the sushi roll also.

Cucumber

Just slice a couple of slices from a peeled cucumber into thin slices for the roll.
PUT THE RICE ON THE NORA SHEET
Now, you can prepare the nora and rice.
You need a half sheet of nora for this roll.
You will need about three quarter cup of cooked sushi seasoned rice for the half nora sheet.

We must flip the nora so the rice is on the outside.
The rice won`t stick to the mat because we added saran wrap to the bamboo mat.

Roll the nora and rice using the bamboo mat to keep the roll firm.

Now you can cut the roll, but first add some saran wrap over the roll, this will help keep the roll intact while cutting it, and your hands won't stick to the rice.

Once the saran wrap is over the roll use the bamboo mat to firm the roll and wrap togther. Then remove the bamboo mat, make sure the saran wrap is still on the roll.
Cut The Sushi Roll
Next, cut the roll using a chef or santoku knife. The knife will stick to the rice when cutting the roll, so first add water to the knife, and keep a watered towel handy,
or paper towel drizzled with water.
You can cut the roll in half then half again, then remove the end small pieces, you will probably have 6 pieces for your roll. Or you can cut in half then cut individually to
the size you like; keep them small enough to be eaten in one bite.
Add the Avocado Topping
Now, the avocado must be added to the roll.

Add some teriyaki sauce over the avocado on the roll.
