How To Make Hosmaki With Cucumber
For this roll we are making cucumber hosomaki roll. First we must slice our cucumber into thin slices to be put on the rice. Then we roll the roll with the nora
on the outside. Then the roll is cut into bite sized pieces.
You can add toppings to the sushi roll as well, like spicy sirrachi mayo, wasabi, are popular.
Sirrachi spicy mayo is usually available at local grocery stores
and Asian grocer. Wasabi paste is available at the Asian grocer. The horseradish wasabi(less potent and cheaper) is available at your local grocery store; look for it in the condiment section.
Adding Cucumber To Your Rice
We want to slice a cucumber in thin slices about the same length as your nora sheet. Put the cuke on the rice on the nora, then simply roll the nora using the bamboo mat.
