HOW TO MAKE SCALLOP APPETIZER
Ingredients
Scallops(medium sized), all purpose flour, Japanese bread crumbs, salt, pepper, dish water, canola oil, shio leaf or spinach leaf, slice fresh lemon, ponzu sauce for dipping.
BUY THE SCALLOPS

You can buy the scallops fresh or frozen and just thaw them somewhat before cooking them. Cost is about $10- 15 for about dozen or so medium size scallops.
BUY THE OILS AND DIPPING SAUCES
Canola oil can be bought at local grocery store. Ponzu dipping sauce is available at your local Asian grocer.

Ponzu sauce is popular for fish, and steak dishes.
WHERE TO BUY VEGE INGREDIENTS
Shiso leaf is bought at Asian grocers, if cannot buy, use small spinach leaf, as they are about the same size and shape as the shiso leaf.
BREAD THE SCALLOPS
Add each scallop to a small dish of water, then roll them in a breaded mix of all purpose flour and panko bread crumbs. Use about one quarter cup of flour and one half cup
of the Japanese bread crumbs (panko), for about a dozen scallops. Add the salt and pepper: one half teaspoon pepper, and one quarter teaspoon salt; or if you like more salty add additional salt.
COOK IN THE FRYPAN WITH CANOLA OIL
Add some canola to the frypan, about 3 or 4 tablespoons; fry the scallops till they are browned all sides, usually about 5 minutes or so.
Add Scallops To Serving Dish and Garnish
Add the cooked scallops to your serving dish; add your shiso or spinach leafs and a slice of fresh lemon.

Pour some ponzu sauce into a small dipping dish for dipping the scallops.
