Making Sushi, How To Cut An Avocado For Sushi Rolls

Avocados that are ready to cut are dark green, and usually the skin of the avocado is a softer texture. Unripen avocados are lighter green in color on the skin, and are very firm.

First cut the avocado in half.

Now, remove the center pit seed, just use the knife to wedge it out.

Cut the slices into slices again.

Using your knife remove the peel off each of the slices.

Now you have avocado slices ready to put on your sushi roll.

Usually two slices are used per sushi roll using a half sheet of nora.

Depending on what your other ingredients are you may have to cut your avocado slices thinner.
